Initially spotted at the BBB tradeshow previewed by some fellow photographers who posted some really cool images on the web (big ups!!), Clarks is proud to present the Dragon Dynasty collection.
Atmos Tokyo is offering the Clarks Wallabee this August. Eventually, there's actually two more models for this pack, but no news whether they will bring in those yet.

English electro pop pioneers Soft Cell is set to release a new double-disc remix album, Heat: The Remixes through Some Bizarre Records on September 1. Soft Cell achieved worldwide fame for their cover version of Tainted Love by Gloria Jones, which made a huge success.
The 25 track double album includes new interpretations of many classic Soft Cell singles including ‘Bedsitter’, ‘Torch’, ‘Say Hello Wave Goodbye’ and the worldwide Number One single ‘Tainted Love’.
The album also includes updated versions of key Soft Cell album tracks, b-sides and rarities. All the remixes featured on the album have been reworked by genuine fans of the band, resulting in the respectful updating of a seminal electronic era.
Both members of Soft Cell, Marc Almond and Dave Ball, have also both contributed brand new remixes to the album, picking out some of their personal Soft Cell favourites from the band’s illustrious 1981-1984 career.
The album has been A&R’d and compiled by leading remix and production team Manhattan Clique (acclaimed for their work with Moby, Goldfrapp, The Human League, Erasure & The B-52’s), and who also contribute 3 remixes to the album.
Additional remixes on the album come from Richard X, Cicada, The Grid, Trevor Jackson/Playgroup, Paul Dakeyne, Punx Soundcheck, Mark Moore & Kinky Roland, The Memory Band and many more.
An expanded 40 track digital edition of the album, featuring additional bonus tracks and remixes not on the CD will also be available.
When you think of modern day girl bands, you probably think of denim miniskirts, cheap hairspray and fake tan. Now, imagine three powerful confident young women more likely to listen to Kraftwerk than Atomic Kitten, influenced by everything from Abba and The Carpenters through to Daft Punk and Depeche Mode. Imagine three young women equally obsessed with thrilling modern pop music coming from the likes of Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and The Ting Tings, as they are with 80’s electro.
Introducing Red Blooded Women...after months of hiding away in several London studios writing with some of the industries most exciting producers, the girls are now set to release their limited edition EP You Made Your Bed on 24th August.
A taster of what the future holds, the EP will be available for download on the uber-cool electro label Planet Clique alongside the limited edition red vinyl 7" single, allowing pop aficionados the chance to finally get their hands on some RBW sounds.
The EP features two effervescent, electro-laced pop tracks equally at home on pop playlists as they are on club dancefloors; You Made You Bed and 4 2Nite, plus remixes of You Made Your Bed from Eazy, Dreamtrak and Rochelle.
Liz from the band says “Just because we’re a girl group, a pop group as it were, we don’t see why we can’t do something a little different. Music that is a little bit awkward and edgy. People kept telling us that we couldn’t do it, but the thing is, we’re stubborn girls - every time someone used the word can’t, we just tried that bit harder. We want to change people’s perceptions of what British pop can be".
Jeff Hanson is a singer-songwriter from Minneapolis.
Nobody but nobody sings quite like Jeff Hanson, and singularity has its price. This is something that Jeff Hanson has had to accept over the years. “Otherworldly,” is a preferable adjective to the lazy and far more common observation, “Wait a minute, is this a dude singing?” The trick as a listener, the challenge, is not to let this entrancingflourish overshadow the meticulous pop and masterful songwriting craft of the music itself.
Jeff Hanson’s influences are largely beside the point. “I want this to be a Jeff Hanson record,” says the veteran songwriter of his third LP, Madam Owl, for the now legendary Kill Rock Stars label. Hoping to evade the somewhat unavoidable construction of a new artist as anamalgam of their most easily identifiable influences, on this record he has created a sound that is truly all his own. Not that this album marks a radical departure from the Jeff Hanson of his previous two records – the essential elements are all still here. The bare acoustic prettiness of his debut Son and the handcrafted pop-cleverness of Jeff Hanson have been developed here even further.
Often in the past his voice has filled the void left by what were comparatively sparse arrangements. On Madam Owl (the name comes from an unused potential song-title) a bent towards the baroque allows Jeff’s voice to find its harmonious place in an ensemble of timeless instruments, rather than fill the role of the instruments themselves.
Along with his remarkable voice is another quality for which Jeff has earned a reputation: consistency. This record, like its two predecessors, contains a set of pop-music symphonies, every one of which feels like it could be the record’s single.
At the age of 13, Hanson began his life in the music world with his surprisingly hard-hitting emo-indie band M.I.J. out of Wisconsin. The band generated some buzz with a few releases on Caulfield Records, and by the time Jeff decided to move on full-time to his own material, the band had already been together for seven years.
Jeff was able to score a deal with the legendary Kill Rock Stars label (shhh…he did it by mailing them his own demo. Yes, that actually does happen!) and all still in his early twenties. This is why at 30, Jeff is able to demonstrate the calm and assured self-possession of a true veteran. It is this quality which makes Madam Owl so much its own thing. This is not the over reaching record of a young artist trying to prove himself, but the latest effort in a musical career spanning more than a decade, to distill the essence of his unique gifts.
Baby Birds Don't Drink Milk, a music collective that consists members of Boo & Boo Too, Rooftop Vigilantes and CHOMP WOMP recently released an online release of a live performance video entitled Are You Going To The Party At Fuck Mt.?. The live performance was recorded on June 16 at The Radish Patch in Chicago. It's now available for download.
Mark Gonzales reworked a selected range of adidas skateboard sneakers recently and actually did an astonishing job on the pairs for a nice 360 triple flip. While Gonzales chose to kept the style to be rather simple, using the Doley as a base and smacked it with a little retouch and, eventually, it turns out pretty amazing. Comes in two different styles - slip-on or with laces.
It is believed to be available at selected adidas retailers in Japan starting August. Hunt em' down, amigo!
